57. Sherman’s Way

Sherman’s Way is a good example of a nice indie comedy that I’ve come to love so much. Unfortunately Sherman is insufferable twat. I don’t know what exactly it was about the actor and character, but Sherman just grated on me. Michael Shulman was just annoying and extremely hard to like. He always had that stupid look on his face and I don’t know what else. I just couldn’t stand his acting or the character really, though I think it’s more about the actor.

Other than Sherman, the movie was great. Had a bit of an iffy start, but things got back on course and was nice. Some lovely little funny bits and are funny because they are real. They’re something you can see someone actually doing.

James LeGros was amazing as well as Enrico Colantoni, who I will always see as Mr. Mars. Brooke Nevin was pretty good as well.

Pretty much what you expect from an indie comedy. Just need to tweak one character and actor and it would have been much better. That smooth out the first fifteen minutes.
